Sonja has been enthusiastically improving the quality of many Valley members lives since 1990. Sonja drives hard, liking to keep her workouts fast-paced, challenging and functional. Sonja really champions stretching; time and again she has proven that it helps to minimize soreness, stabilize joints, and prevent stiffness and injury. If you spend a little time at the Valley, you'll surely hear Sonja's yelling our her mantra- "Goals! We have goals!" Sonja loves the phrase, " Pain is just weakness leaving the body," and she believes that weight training complements running and other sports. As Sonja can attest to-having a good trainer and workout partner really does positively benefit you; it makes exercise more fun and also makes you more accountable! Some of her accomplishments include a 3:24 Capital City Marathon, many half marathons, and two 1st Place body building contests in 1992 - 1994
