If you are an existing client 5-10 minutes before
your massage appointment is sufficient. If you are
a new client or having a spa treatment 15 minutes
is more appropriate.
New clients will have a short Health
History form to fill out, and all clients can expect
to have a brief conversation regarding their treatment.
You might also want to arrive early enough to enjoy
a visit to the sauna, steam or Jacuzzi.
Our massage rooms are spacious and private. After
your verbal consultation, your practitioner will leave
the room and you will disrobe to your level of comfort.
During the massage your comfort and modesty are of
the utmost importance. Only the area being worked
on will be uncovered and you should feel secure at
all times.
You do not have to be a Valley member. However, we
do charge a $5 fee for non-members. This is a reduced
guest fee and you are encouraged to use the facilities.
You will also be required to sign a liability waiver
on your first visit.
If your are running late, a phone call is appreciated. Your arrival time will determine the length of our treatment time, which will end as originally scheduled so that the next appointment can begin on time. Regardless of arrival time, the normal treatment fee remains unchanged. For some treatmnts, late arrivals cannot be accommodated and will need to be rescheduled.
We have many practitioners to choose from with varying
skill and specialties. If you do not know our practitioners
or have a preference, our receptionist will ask you
a few questions to try and fit you with the practitioner
that is right for you. You can also view our
Practitioners' bios.
Each client is different. The best approach
is to evaluate how you feel after your massage. Make
sure you drink plenty of water and see how long the
effects of your massage last. Some clients feel good
for a week, some feel better for a month. We encourage
our clients who want the healthful benefits of massage
to get on a maintenance schedule that works for them.
Waiting until you are in dire need is not always the
best way to go.
We have clients of all ages at our facility, from
infants to the more mature. If the client is under
18, we do require parental consent. The parents or
guardians can also be present during treatment.

Many people have heard of painful massage experiences.
Although some techniques require more pressure and
can be painful, this is usually with the consent of
the client. If you are interested in a relaxation
massage, feel confident that it does not have to hurt.
Keep communication open. Speak up if you are cold,
hot, are not enjoying the music or need less pressure.
We want the experience to be what you are looking
for.
This question has many answers. We do not suggest
a strenuous workout after a deep tissue massage. The
muscle tissue is in an altered state and you could
risk injury. Working out before a massage is usually
alright, but you should thoroughly cool down and shower
first.
First and foremost, just yourself! Anything else is
up to you. If you are going back to work, you might
want to bring anything you need to freshen up, i.e.
make-up, hair brush, etc. And please leave cell phones
in the car.
All services must be paid for at time of service.
If you do not have time to retrieve your gift certificate
you will have to pay with another method.
Massage is generally safe for people in good health.
If you are in question, please consult your physician
prior to making an appointment. Massage is not a replacement
for medical treatment. If you have sustained an injury,
please consult your physician prior to receiving massage
for that injury.
